FP＆A Manager

Mission

Own and drive the company’s financial planning, performance management, and management control processes to enable fast, data-driven decision-making as the business scales.

Key Responsibilities

＜Financial Planning & Performance Management＞
•　Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes
•　Own monthly budget vs. actual (BvA) analysis and variance explanations
•　Prepare financial outlooks and landing forecasts
＜Management Reporting & Decision Support＞
•　Design and manage key financial and operational KPIs
•　Prepare materials for management meetings and board discussions
•　Translate financial data into actionable insights for leadership
＜Cross-functional Collaboration＞
•　Partner with department leaders to support planning, cost control, and prioritization
•　Act as a finance business partner to R&D, Operations, and corporate teams
•　Support decision-making related to hiring plans, investments, and resource allocation
＜Finance Organization Development＞
•　Build and improve FP&A processes, templates, and reporting frameworks
•　Contribute to the development of a scalable and repeatable Finance structure

Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, management accounting, or corporate finance
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Ability to work with ambiguity in a growing organization
• Excellent communication skills to work with non-finance stakeholders
• Fluent in English and Japanese

Nice to Have

• MBA or other advanced degree
• Experience working closely with C-level executives
• Background in life sciences, manufacturing, or technology companies
• Advanced Excel / financial modeling skills
• Experience preparing materials for board or investor discussions
