Field Engineer

Mission
As a Field Engineer, you will ensure stable system operation and customer satisfaction by supporting equipment installation, commissioning, and maintenance at customer sites. You will handle everything from system setup to first-line troubleshooting and long-term maintenance, ensuring research and manufacturing operations never stop. Working closely with Engineering, QA, and Support teams, you will serve as a technical bridge that maximizes product value.
Key Responsibilities
<Installation & Technical Support>
• Provide on-site support during equipment/system installation, including setup, configuration, and verification.
• Deliver application training, explain use cases, and propose solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Support validation activities such as IOQ(Installation/Operational Qualification) and prepare related documentation.

<Customer Support & Troubleshooting>
• Respond to technical inquiries and perform initial troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, and external partners to resolve issues quickly.
• Provide technical advice for inspections, maintenance, and improvement proposals.

<Technical Documentation>
• Create and update application notes, user manuals, and technical FAQs.
• Feed back field issues to internal teams and document preventive measures.
• Maintain records and revision history according to documentation control rules.

<Product Feedback & Improvement>
• Gather and analyze field feedback to support product improvements and new development.
• Participate in design reviews and risk assessments (e.g., FMEA) with the development team.
Must Have
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, science, business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in equipment installation, setup, or maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills for on-site support and technical explanations.
• Basic documentation skills (Excel, Word, reporting).
• Ability to manage schedules and respond flexibly to on-site needs.
• Willingness to learn product knowledge quickly.
• Ability to read English manuals and communicate via email/conversation at a basic working level.
• Strong sense of teamwork and responsibility.
Nice to Have
• Experience in a startup environment.
• Experience as a service engineer, maintenance technician, or FAE.
• Field experience with medical devices, analytical instruments, or manufacturing equipment.
• Understanding of cell manufacturing, bioprocessing, or cleanroom environments.
• Experience creating manuals or SOPs.
